We’re excited to bring seven Ithaca College students on board for paid research and writing internships with Ithaca.Community this summer! Our interns will work to develop toolkits that explore various accessibility needs identified by our community survey last year. The toolkits will include research and suggestions on how local organizations and businesses can better accommodate the needs of our community.

What is Ithaca.Community?
As someone who has continued to have a love/hate relationship with this city, I must confess there is much to be appreciated and adored about the City of Ithaca. Yes, there are the gorges and swim holes that you read about and the beautiful glimpses of autumn in the upstate New York magazines. But then there are the people, the amazing people that make you feel whole, seen, and valued. There is the Ithaca Farmers Market that is filled with home baked goods, farm-grown flowers, pasteurized meats, and the laughter of children. And then there are the beautiful murals that aim to capture culture and beauty of all the people of the city.
