Cass Park is brought to you by the Ithaca Youth Bureau. This community park offers activities for all seasons, 32 athletic fields, a swimming pool, a seasonal ice rink, 4 tennis courts, canal access with boat storage space rental, walking paths, playgrounds, and the Ithaca Children’s Garden.
Cass Park directly connects with the Black Diamond Trail and the Cayuga Waterfront Trail making it easy to access on foot or by bike from a variety of downtown and West Hill locations. The park itself is very flat and though there are a variety of surfaces, overall it is navigable by strollers/wheelchairs and skates.
The fields host practice and games for a variety of local recreational to competitive sports teams. The rink offers skating lessons, hockey practice, and community open skate sessions. Check their Facebook page for the current event schedule. During the warmer months when the ice is up, the rink hosts community roller skate nights and other special events. In addition to open swimming, the pool provides swimming lessons and is available for birthday party rental.
The fields, facilities, and pavilion at Cass Park are available for rent. Contact the Ithaca Youth Bureau to make your reservations. 607-273-8364
