- Eleanor J. Gibson Laboratory of Developmental Psychology 109 E. Tower Rd G94 Uris Hall Ithaca, NY 14850
The B.A.B.Y. lab studies the evolution and development of social learning and communication in humans and song birds. They work with children 5 months to 5 years old in a non-invasive, observational format. Basically, you and the kiddo get to spend some time in a room playing with toys while being videotaped.
All sessions involve you (the parent/caretaker) so your child will never be alone while the research is being conducted. When the study is over you get to choose a prize for your child.
Siblings are welcome to hangout in the toy-stocked waiting area while you’re participating in the study. Make sure to notify the lab in advance so they have an assistant on hand to babysit.
Parking is free, see below.
