We’re excited to bring seven Ithaca College students on board for paid research and writing internships with Ithaca.Community this summer! Our interns will work to develop toolkits that explore various accessibility needs identified by our community survey last year. The toolkits will include research and suggestions on how local organizations and businesses can better accommodate the needs of our community.
Each intern will conduct research and interviews on their accessibility topic and will create an advocacy marketing piece, a slideshow video, images for social media, and an in-depth blog post detailing the topic. At the end of the internship, the interns will have great portfolio pieces and we will have excellent tools to help our community!
The internships were organized through the Ithaca College Office of Career Services and its project-based “Micro-internship” program to help students facing unanticipated changes to their summer plans due to the pandemic.
